for the double din, it’s doable but requires some fabrication.

Ok so it seems the guy my brother in-law got this ute from was pretty rough and the current head unit isn't even supported in the car just floating... ‍‍ And there's some busted trim and missing screws so that's another thing to fix.

Anyway, it made it a tool free job to remove trim and head unit to check things out back there.

There's a metal bracket as part of the dash frame that sits in front of the heater box - if that was cut out there'd be about 87mm clearance from heater box to fascia front

Get one of those fascias and the new 75mm deep units should fit in the space... But cost is probably no different doing it that way vs the single din body and screen.
I'll let the lad decide which way he wants to go
