Don‘t mess with shingles. Many years ago I had some sort of strange sore just above my hairline. Then a sore appeared on my forehead. I went to see my doctor but ended up seeing a student doctor (as my doctor’s practice was a teaching practice). He had no idea what I had but got a scalpel and took a sample of the sore to send to pathology. I can’t recall what happened exactly (it was a while ago) but I ended up going back to the doctor - and saw the same student again! He was out of his depth, but to his credit he knew that. So he said he’d get someone else to check. Off he went and he came back with my regular doctor. My regular GP took one look at me and said ‘he has got shingles’. He then pointed out the signs - the sores were only on one side of my face, and they followed the lines of the nerves. It then got a bit frightening. We had already lost time so the antivirals would be touch and go, and it was getting close to my eye. There was some concern that I could lose sight in one eye. It all came good in the end, but I still have the scars to show.

I appreciate your wife is happy to soldier on without medical assistance, and that’s her choice. Personally, if I were you (and knowing what I now know), I’d be going to my gp and seek their guidance. Most of the time shingles will resolve itself without any lasting impacts, but sometimes it can go really bad.
Yeah, I got shingles when I was about 36. It wasn't a real bad case, but still. My daughter’s boyfriend was telling me he had shingles which left scars above his eye. My wife’s rash is not so bad, but it is still irritating.

Got an email yesterday morning stating may parcel was onboard with the local courier driver and I would receive it today, it is now almost 6PM the day following and I still don't have my parcel. How hard can it be?
NZ needs a tradie working for Australia Post.

Taken from the article
The money will come from the existing Driving the Nation fund under the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, which has been tasked with delivering a “backbone” national EV charging network on key highway routes at an average interval of 150 kilometres, connecting all capital cities.

so outside of travelling between capital cities, you may or may not find suitable charging stations on the way to major towns.

Too much going through your mind Losh.
Yeah for some reason I am feeling really stressed ATM and have been for a week or two. While this is somewhat normal for me, this is next level. Been a while since I have been awake until early hours before I finally drop off but this week and last week have been worse than normal for no sleep. Might need more shed time but pretty damn cold in there and after 10-15mins it's time to head back inside. Projects seem to lower my stress levels, but in-between projects at the moment.

We get melatonin in liquid form online. It’s cheap. It works as well as some prescription forms, though for the little man, he needs specialised forms.

I’ll use the liquid every now and then for a week or so, that sets my body right and all is fine for ages.

This one:

8 or 9 drops and welcome aboard sleepytime nigh-nighs.

i'm taking medication that's technically for treating depression, but in a low dose of 15mg, does wonders for a good night's sleep. ask your doctor for mirtazapine rather than a benzo
