JC Political Thread - For All Things Political Part 2

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” Just look at the last 50 years in the middle east, greed, self interest and the chosen ones. Looks like there will always be conflict.

It's easy to see where you sit politically, standard redneck conservative mindset. Been doing some travelling the last week or so, lots of EV's on the road. Talking to the owners, all are happy.

I still treasure my third place in under eleven breast stroke certificate, it's included in my CV. Sometimes in life you reach a pinnacle that you never achieve again but I keep trying.

Another culture like Bali? Full of ugly Australians full of drugs or cheap brewed alcohol abusing locals and fighting in the streets at 4am. Jump on an aircraft full of the same ugly Australians (not all but a lot) making everybody else's life hell. Those same Australians pushing inline at the...

In every town there are people who know people, people whose friend, people who heard and people who have read on the net who know of somebody who heard a rumour of that some kid is identifying as something else.

    Grass is always greener.........

We are a spoiled mob, whatever we drive there is always something faster, handles better and is more desirable. If we do have the dream car we aren't game to take it on the road otherwise it will get too many K's on it, the paintwork might chip, the rain will make it grotty or the sun will fade...

The tech system was proven very successful, till it was decimated with howards vandalism and stripped of funding (because the private sector can do things cheaper ). We are now paying the price with high prices for work done and low numbers of tradesmen. That is one of the things...

No such thing as "small nuclear power stations" or cheap electricity. Like the recent announcement about power getting cheaper.......never happen, they privatised power so people can make money from it. They will never lower power prices because poor people are doing it hard. They charge so...

Not much chance of me paying for fox  Never smoked, drunk alcohol or gambled. I'm getting to the end of my working career and have seen a bit in the last 51 years working. First house I bought I was paying something like 18% interest and on ordinary money it was a challenge. I started my...

Some of you blokes are a wealth of knowledge, if you were in parliament you would have the country fixed in a fortnight. Seems working for a living and watching fox gives everybody an economic degree and the real world knowhow of running a modern complex economy. The housing problem has taken...

Not everybody who is after a house is a dole bludging drug Induced wipeout. Take living in anywhere that's not a major city. A well paying job is less than $1000 a week, usually closer to $800. Low tax rate would be $220, take 4 to $500 out for rent there's not much left for food let alone car...

The best thing for picking up catheads is bare feet, get the wife to walk up and down in rows. Then throw some lollies out for the kids in the areas you want cleaned up, make sure they're barefooted though shoes are harder and sometimes the vicious 2cm spike won't stick into plastic.

NDIS typical private industry thieves. When you put things like that into the private sector that's what happens, profits to be made, people to be ripped off. Minimise services provided maximise profits, just standard business practices.

It's easy, charge as much as the market will bear. Normal retail 400% markup. Get your workers to do as much unpaid overtime as possible, preferably call your workers lower management or contractors then you don't have to pay holidays or sick pay. If they complain threaten them that you have...

Tripling the dose won't work as well as the recommended rate. With a concentrated mix the plant shuts down and doesn't absorb the chemical as it should do systemically. It mightn't look like it's working but will take a few days to get working.
