VN HSV VS5000
Hi guys,
I have what I believe is a VN HSV SV5000 that I am getting restored and am after as much info on this model as possible to validate that it is 100% genuine as I inherited this vehicle and don't know its history.
Here is the info that I have copied from the compliance plates:

Compliance plate:
Engine #: YU603017
VIN/CHASSIS #: 6H8VNK19UML514369
MODEL: UN8VK19-125
BODY #: L514369
TRIM:161
PAINT: 1F075
BUILT: JUN91
ENG: LB9
TRANS:M78 or MP8 (this one's a little hard to make out on the compliance plate)
SUSP: FE2
AXLE: GU4

HSV Plate:
BUILD No: 331
MODEL: C.SPORT
DATE: 16.7.91

Approval No. 7595 Category MA
General Motors Holden's Automotive Limited
Holden VN P/Car
GVM Kg Seats 5
25/06/91 VIN 6H8VNK19UML514369

Any assistance in identifying if this is genuine will be greatly appreciated
cheers

Hi
Put your VIN number through the HSV website Authenticator and it came out as SVCS with Maranello Red paint, which is the same colour as the Vp GTS & Vp formula, so your car is a VN Clubsport . The HSV plate should have been a dead give away C.SPORT stands for clubsport - SVCS is Special vehicle Clubsport - hope this helps

Yeah, I am having a similar investigation. My ID plates give similar detail to yours. Sorry I cant help with yours but if you get a lead I would appreciate any info to help with mine and I will pass on any I get, thanks. I posted this but no reply as yet. ' Currently restoring my VN SS HSV which I purchased in 1992. When I purchased it I checked authentication with HSV which you could do then with a simple phone call and they said that this was the only one built at HSV in 1990. The build number on the HSV ID plate is EB203. The car was stolen and stripped in 1991 and I bought it without the original interior and am now trying to discover what the original HSV interior was, but as HSV is now defunct I am having difficulty getting any actual detail about my car. Can anyone suggest how I can get this information.
Try this link https://www.hsv.com.au/own/authenticate/ https://hsvdatabase.com.au/hsv-build-numbers/

This is all the information I have for VN. I don't have the document referred to: "HSV The First Eight Years".

I wonder if that one SV91 still exists.
