This is my "daily" but has somehow ended up the most impractical daily driver ever.
Picked it up with 169 000km stock, very well looked after.
was allright for a while then copped interceptors lovells springs front and back and new shocks front and back, 2.5 exhaust and extractors also threw a lsd in the ass end for some fun.
At this point it looked good but sounded terrible and was also slow as all hell.

stayed like that for around 1.5 years in that time i managed to collect the parts to throw a rebuilt t3 turbo, turbo manifolds, 3" dump and exhaust, intercooler and injectors - thats much more fun! ran on 8psi for 10 or so months, killed two autos then i cracked it, no more autos

while it was off the road the standard turbo started too look boring, picked up a t04 garrett from ebay, also fitted a turbosmart 38mm gate screamer, mild wade cam ported head... auto was still stuffed and turned out the turbo was too...so the car was off the road for a while

Picked up a mx7 manual from a bt1 new heavy duty clutch, matching blue manual surround and everything else needed all factory turbo parts, which fixed the transmission problem

Having cracked the shits with the T04 decided to bite the bullet, garrett gt35/40. .50 compressor and got a .85 external turbine, perfect!
Fitted it up to my standard manifold with a 10mm spacer plate, and weld up a dump pipe, went well on 7psi 183rwkw in fact although the injectors had maxed out. in that time also installed surge tank and two standard turbo pumps
Solution to this was to pick up some skyline gtr 440cc units and a Haltech e6x, while i was at it a Jd customs plenum was also purchased.

Increased the boost too 15psi and am loving it, yet to see any dyno time so its on a to what i have decided is a "safe tune" untill i can get it too jpc.

1st gear is now wheel spin, 2nd gear is the same story and 3rd gear can be a little intresting depending on the road and number of people in the car. not bad for a standard 190 000km n/a bottem end

Hoping to run 18-20psi and develop around 260-300rwkw.
and also hoping to find a set of turbo hubcaps and maybe a respray
not sure what it would/could run down the 400m but hopefully around 12 something street tyres/fuel etc

let me know what you think.

Also there no holes cut in the body, front and rear bars resprayed new pin stripping and iv kept the interior pretty much og apart from the boost gauge and few small subtle shift lights
the engine is the og one and has never been remove, trying to keep it oringal while still having loads of power and keeping it very drivable, just the amount of fuel it uses makes it not the best for day to day and in city traffic it sucks ass

Your right on that. VLs have great power to weight. My old fag wag gave it to a vyss with just a high flowed t3 on 7 psi.

got it up on the dyno last thursday, was hitting the limiter at 4500rpm for some godforsaken reason, was seeing just over 210rwkw at around 4500rpm, very very rich around 10.5 afrs on boost, so iv reloaded another tune and leaned it off abit, seems to run great warm but stalls/misses when cold.

picked up quite abit of power, also pulled limiter out 6500rpm.
lit them up at 100km other day coming on to the freeway or so my dog told me, as id never condone that kind of behaviour.
