Hello all,
Went off the rails a bit, back onto it. Had an injury, stuffed my RH TFL (Tensor Facisa Latae)
On 9 July I was 103.9kg. Again with the Couch to 5k program.
For 8 weeks I again went on WW Smart Points and dropped 10kg in about 7 weeks. Started running again. Running has progressed nicely and last weekend I did a 10k in 58:19 (however it was actually a 10.2k event.....the 10k split was 57:20). Miles off any PB but its a start. Today I am 94kg. Overall goal is focused on BF % - am now 24%, trying to get down to at least 13-15. Based on my calcs, allowing for a bit of muscle loss looking at getting down to at least 80kg.
I have now switched over to a diet that meets the needs of endurance athletes (even amateurs lol). Basically eat only to resolve hunger, with a preference for carbs and nil junk. Weight loss won't be that fast now, but a conservative approach preserves muscle mass so in essence you will have less total weight to lose before you hit a goal BF%.
Next event is a 10K on 9 October, followed by a half marathon in mid November.
