Okay, who felt the earthquake and what was your experience? Could this possibly be the end of the earth as we know it, or should we just leave that one to Covid?

So best to stay on your toes and away from damaged buildings ;)

news reporting even some parts of SA felt it.

Seeing lots of comments from my Vic colleagues about force of the shocks.

my late mum was working at the newcastle workers club in the change kiosk when the 89 quake hit her coworker sitting right next to her was killed when the ceiling collapse and there was others killed or injured in the club thats my experience with earthquakes

Newcastle 1989, I was working at Tomago (about 10km from where all the damage occurred) when we heard a huge explosion and the building felt like it moved about a 300mm upwards and down again.
We all raced outside looking for the remains of a RAAF Mirage sticking out of a smoking hole, but nothing to see there.

The Workers Club was a rat hole of additions and alterations, it is a wonder that more people were not killed there.

We felt the first and second. Triggered an evacuation with the building swaying. So far haven't heard of any casualties
