I watched this great topic covered by Sean from @MotoringBox and figured it would be ideal to cover for people who want to take on looking after their Commodores and other Holdens but don’t have anything to do it. Or experience for that matter.

Where do you start?

I would add to that:
• A jack
• Low car ramps (to help get the jack under the car)
• Some chassis stands

You just added another thing to my shopping list. Almost everything you need in one place. I’ve got quite a lot of tools already but they are all just in the drawers of my tool chest.

Would be a lot more convenient to have them all in one spot instead of rifling around in drawers full of tools to find stuff.

Only 1 complaint about the tool kit, is whilst they have screw driver bits, they are used with a ratchet in the kit....I have had to put a ratchetting screw driver in the back of the car to be able to use the screw driver bits supplied in the kit...Otherwise, it's good to grab tools for that quick repair, instead of riffling through tool boxes....

The only thing missing from that kit is a couple of screw drivers.

You posted just before I finished this complaint about the kit....They have the screw driver bits, just have to use a ratchet with them :)

If you have a quick sticky at the supplied picture, they are in the bottom section, top left hand corner, next to the deep reach sockets.....Just hard to make out with the supplied picture.. :)

Ive got that kit, you can use the bits with a 1/4" socket and the 1/4" black handled screw driver tool

Although all the bits are just dumped into a pelican case now, after the 2nd time everything fell onto the ground, although the 1/4" drive has its own little pelican case
