little update really. went to Lazzas house 2 weekends ago and helped him pull his stock turbo gear and dummy fitted some parts for his high mount setup. in doing this i acquired his catch-can setup complete with speedflows.
Being a powdercoater i had a fresh powdercoated rocker cover ready to swap for my Blistered, Cracked one thats been on for 2 and a half years(I was lazy to build a heatshield)
87RB30VL came over and purchased his stock gear ready to join the "Leb Spec Vl Cult"
So after plenty beers and beam blacks drank we did quite a bit of tinkering with both cars.
Me stupidly cut and polished 1 panel to see if it would look any better as my paint job is crap.
and guess what, it came up great so i had to do the whole car. Manually....
heat damage from turbo on bonnet u can see.

Righto so finally shagged the box.
Consisted of slipping in all gears. Dropping into neutral while sitting at lights.
Had no second gear down low. Just slipped.
No reverse. Etc
Oil looked like I had pumped it from brisbane river. Black.... Lol
From the shuddering and crunching it had snapped one mount in half and the other wasn't far off.
Put in a built turbo box with stage 2 shiftkit. Can't believe I was missing all that
Low down power and acceleration. Boost has now been dialed up to 12 from the safe 6 I was running which still made the box slip when coming on
New man new car lol

latest update for those interested....
Went to Lazzas house for the weekend to do a Turbo install on 87RB30VL's car. all went smooth with minimal issues.
so once his convert was out the way i had time to work on my car.
consisting of a new Highrise console, Gauge move/install. Under bonnet light, respray of bumpers and new top trim.
geez those pics are bad.. thats on an iphone 4s too they usually r crystal clear. must be the lighting.
