As per the title.

I'm currently up for $2,700 garaged, extreme limited use, modified HSV. I have had a couple of at faulters.

I know these threads come up from time to time but would like a current comparison if anyone is willing?

Anybody VE, VF V8, please comment with your insurer, price and any pertinent special conditions.

What value have they put on it? I'd be thinking $2,700 is because they probably valued it at $70k - $80k.

Didn't think of that part. It is agreed for approx. $10k above market.

Sounds a decent price compared to the ~$2100/yr which I just realised that our 2014 SSVR is costing, for ~$45k coverage.
That’s as compared to $1200/yr during the COVID Stupids when it was covered for $60k …
Meanwhile the Volvo is $800/yr now for ~$30k coverage compared to $600/yr for $12k coverage.

Oh and that’s with volume discounts due to home & contents, green-slip & comprehensive for 2 cars.

I’ve been slowly boiled like the proverbial forg in the pot … going to have to look into this (although not game to go with fly-by-nighters like Enthusiast - an insurer that won‘t pay out is useless not matter how cheap they are!).

Yeah last year or so insurance companies bumped up their prices....even with clean record, maximum no claim etc they still put it extra 1k for my 2023 Triton excuse being my suburb is now CBD & statisically 4wd in more accidents.....bs.

They even bumped up rates for my torrie & vh on laid up...increased value blah blah so hammered them for that as they're undervalues so they put it back to same rate & only took $150 off for Triton for max no claim & clean record no at faults.

We're all getting reamed.

Insured with RAC for $28k at a cost of $750 with full NCB and 10% discount for RAC membership.

That was at renewal last September.

Premium for the previous year was $690 for $29k cover.

When I first insured it in 2017 it cost $571 for cover of $27k.

My 08 SS ute with upgrades is insured for $28k through Shannons. IIRC it sets me back about $92 a month. But yeah big difference is yours is probably agreed at closer to $70k at a guess. VF is easier to steal as well so could be adding some on for risk.

Triton you say?
If you think it's BS that they're in more crashes, you've not been observing the normal behaviour of Japanese-style utes & dual-cabs on the roads!

They're fine for some, but I need my insurer to pay out if I need to make a claim. :(

Also depends on where you live. Some postcodes are considered hotbeds of thieves and destruction, and priced accordingly.

My Shannons premiums took a roughly 25% hike last year, but the agreed values didn't change. This year I am expecting a 25% drop in values and a negligible premium rise.
