As for VoIP landlines, it's easy enough to forward it from the telco to a mobile so you don't need anything on the other end
Well you don’t need anything other than paying $10/month for free mobile calls to be bundled with your VOIP service. Then you can use such diversion to your mobile, else it’s like signing a blank check for spammers call your landline
I think I’d rather do without VOIP if it came to it
For the moment it’s a free bundled service with my VDSL based Internet plan so I use it. I know some people (older generation) that only have VOIP services with token internet
Still, I’d prefer my choice of modern/router and the VOIP login details but all service providers I’ve called refuse to allow such… it’s use their device or don’t use VOIP… So I’m stuck with the crap provider supplied modem/router
Just curious why the need for VPN at home? Is it for remote working from home due to COVID or something else?
