I like it cause it's unique but I dare say for the same coin I'm getting 800+hp out of an LS with a bunch more torque and less desire to break things
Yeah, I'd probably do the same though it's still really unique, especially in Australia... Modifying LFX's in the U.S seems to be more common though

The potential on these engines haven't been realised (at least here in Australia) and could give the Barra boys something to pay attention to...

Nah, the Barra boys would simply say they never came from the factory with turbos so they don't count.

Well neither did the LS and a heap of other engines, which can still make huge power... Also, I think the 3 litre LF1 used in the more basic Commodores was originally supposed to be turbocharged, correct me if I'm wrong though...

Don't get me wrong, the Turbo Barra is a great engine but I think it's becoming a little overrated, especially here in Australia...

I guess my point was the Barra boys rarely see logic and would find any excuse for a turbo-anything being faster than one.

Of course, they rarely see logic, it was an engine designed for taxi's....
