pretty sure cressys is sep 7th.

sounds like you had a great time. would have loved to have joined you for it.
next time youll get those jumps though. especially seeing you know what to do now.

also for a giggle try boosting that jump after those 2 doubles.
but not on the double part, stay left and preload and boost. good for a giggle :p

if your interested with those knee/shin pads, have a look at the BMX ones.
because with the rules they have to cover all the knee and shin and have to be of a hard material.
but not many companies make them unfortunately.

next time you plan on going out for a day (even at say red hill) let us know. will try to get down there.
and then maybe you can be coaxed into the VDHS series for 14/15

What's 'boosting' ?

Yeah, hoping to head out to redhill in the next couple weeks.

And definitely going to YY for the Cressy weekend.

Ah, I see... yeah I think I want to land it a few more times normal before getting too excited.

There was a few photographers floating around and there was one at the double I did, so with some luck I may have been snapped.

lol i was there 2 weekends ago and bitched out of every double on the run :p

one thing i did notice though is that hitting the pumps track has really helped me with that rock garden at 1:19 on your link above. i was losing way too much speed by not pedalling (worried about digging pedals into rocks) but this time i flew straight over them and pumped, managed to hook in and out still keeping great speed, to the point i wasnt in the right line for the berm after cos' id never been that fast through it before.

im all about pump tracks now. anytime you get a free night after work or something, we should head round to the local one. its a GREAT way of getting your balance down.

another suggestion to replicate pump tracks is to go to your local BMX racing track and do pump laps.
although a rigid framed bike would be a much greater advantage to that. or something like aris whereby you can lockout the suspension.

did a few pump laps the other night. was carrying enough speed to potentially keep going without having to pedal.

something to consider though is, you actually gain more speed going up the jump than down the backside of the jump.

Just registered for Group C at Cressy on the 7th of Sept!

So excited, this will be my first 'race' as such! It's going to hurt soooooooooooooo much and I will be last but I don't care! :)

New goggles are on the way. I had to explain that having goggles that look cooler will make me go faster and there are cash prizes thus it's a good investment.

I left out that this weekend I also need to by shoes and SHOULD really be using goggles funds for leg protection that doesn't rotate.

Guess I will just do them up tighter. :)

Decided against the 5.10 shoes because I'm a tight arse and the DC's where on special. :)
