I remember a thread on here a while back, where a member alledgely started their car and ended up with a hole in the block, with their LS3....

Memory serves me right, got a roasting for suggesting it couldn't have happened by just starting the car as others were certain it was a warranty issue.

So maybe this is a similar one, where it has just happened by starting the car

might have started the car with 100% throttle seeing if the ''flood clear'' works....

Yup....Having a mechanic saying something about servicing and then holes mysteriously appearing and bits of engine disappearing with a single start up after a bit of running round and of course it's a warranty problem.....

yea so it can explode again lol. i found few going on market place for around 6k mark but im tapping out

Why would it explode, this is not normal for an LS, even stock they handle a fair amount. The PO has caused this and unless you know what he did for it to blow I wouldn't start thinking this is common.
