    Steel pipe power steering

Try a different 'Pirtek' franchise. Of course they can. Cut off, replace nut, reflare. It may be a touch shorter or they can use an adaptor on the nut to extend length that way. Could even make another from braided line or similar, strap it to the original line to keep the shape. There's plenty...

Ask Holden direct. And no, don't drill larger. There's a reason some guys only sell parts. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/161596741892?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=waqKC3GUTda&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=Otl3lLdJQZG&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

    Windows slider swap without breaking

Get some 3D printed using the samples. Otherwise new or used regulators to strip. I've done it twice. I'm not happy about it either. There's a whole lot of spare parts replacement and aftermarket dealers that have dropped the ball on this, as did Holden even swapping over and not supplying a part.

    Windows slider swap without breaking

No one makes VZ clips, or at least to sell separately. No, you can't drill clips from 8mm to 10mm to suit a round ballstud.

Looking for new full set of door rubbers & bonnet insulation pad also outside door trims etc etc.

apparently there's a new website, Googles. You type into it what you need. Alternatively, you type into forum and someone else types into Googles.

    Keeping It OEM ?

Half of those things don't matter, many enthusiasts replace parts to suit their tastes even if the rest of the car is bone stock. Exhaust, intake, brakes fall into this category. Unless it's a low mile, original something fancy then half of these would be more desirable to the average owner of...

    Paint stripper for engine covers?

Yeah, not just thick layers of paint but also has the textured surface, no sanding. No underside details, these are cast. Will update with info when I have some.

Satin black? Sand them? Do you know what the part is? Google doesn't know what these are.

    Paint stripper for engine covers?

Yep, and these are the red GTS HSV 300 cast type, not the ABS or polypropylene plastic, etc, seen on regular production models. Yes, always wary of fluids on plastics that then create further problems in the future or for next paint to adhere

    Paint stripper for engine covers?

I'm already seeing faces in the oily fisheyes that cover them. Why do people think they can just fill them by adding more and more coats of paint and skip cleaning? The paint is so thick you wouldn't know they were once textured. It also causes forgetfulness and bad photography skills. The...

    Paint stripper for engine covers?

Howdy, Anyone know what the material is that the VX C4B 300 engines covers are made from, some sort of carbon resin mixture? I have a set here with too many coats of paint, wanted to safely strip them, or at least the last one that was heavily applied and not cleaned first by previous owner. I...

OOOH No My Tire Went Bang on the "Q"

I have a set here with about 1000km on them, R15 BFGs 245 and 275. But same, they are about 18 years old. Project car sits on them and not much else. Shame. Even the RWL is clean white.

    Hot fibreglass cover smell

I thought this one may be more common but nothing came up in a brief search. I recently swapped my original cracking C4B GTS engine covers for replica fibreglass versions. They were in good condition so possibly fairly new, although sold as used. I've only driven back and forth a few times and...

What globe is used for the headlight switch? Planning to replace it with an LED one

Diodes x 3 soldered in. Look for a spare switch of same type matching the rear plastic colour. And always check the plastic retainer is intact. If you aren't into electrical then post it to one of those LED specialists and get them to do it, check they know the switch first.

    Issue with door lock

sounds like the actuator is on the edge of the adjustment limit. The slightest bump or jiggle and the microswitches trigger, which in turn then operate the other locks as well. Replace it or adjust it if still good. Genuine best, getting hard to find new. I had same problem.

I did go for it, hence the reply. Been there, done that with V6's. couldn't find a big enough muffler to quieten it down as embarrassing sounds when giving the boot.
