    Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

I have seen what happens to a registered geotech that signs off on something that subsequently fails. It's not pretty and I never want to find myself in court trying to defend myself. It's similar to surgeons that get raked over the coals for conduct. It's around 50-100k in legals to try and...

Yeh same although it'll be 9 years until he is 18, I'll be looking at retiring then. Three kids under 18 at the moment so can only distribute $412 each (I think).

    Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

There are certain rules you need to satisfy to be able to split income off and save tax. When it works and you earn enough, you can save up to approx $30k in income tax with two beneficiaries. It's fantastic. I want to add a third to my trust to take advantage of 3 x tax free thresholds but...

In my experience with accountants for my company/trust and tax returns (both trust and personal) and advice provided that we act on, we still have to sign off which effectively removes all liability for the accountant. Not bad work for $275/hr.

    Post your net speed!

Had a few mates with the old cable and from memory it was good. I ended up on a 100/40 plan on FTTN before FTTP and to be honest, that was actually ok. Hit the advertised speeds all the time. We were reasonably close to the node, and I think it was pretty much the max we could get out of it...

    Post your net speed!

When I was at uni in the late 90's we had no download limits, that came after us. Downloading music from torrents and putting them onto 3.5 inch floppy disks, or if you had money you had a zip drive disk lol. We actually had FTTP when we moved to central QLD in early 2015. Moved back to...

Dig! Finally got FTTP installed, a 9 year gap between the last time we had FTTP............ On a 500/200 business plan, if its not enough I'll move to the 1000/400 plan.

Yeah I have a VP V8 and a V8 200 series and it does feel weird that the cruiser has the same rego given it weighs almost twice as much.

The QLD system is a bit perverse. The more cylinders, the cheaper the rego per cylinder. They are encouraging us to drive V8's, 10's and 12's :)

What on earth are you on about? What do you have against people that can dictate their own rate and jobs?

Work smarter, not harder. If you can't then tough luck.
