try using your spare keyry disconnecting the battery overnight

Hello. I wonder if you can help me please. I am in South Africa . I have a 3.8vx 2002 commodore. The key stopped unlocking the doors and it starts but dies immediatly. The key battery is 3 volt. The red light stay on when the key is in the on possition. The key pin to key ring is ok. But i noticed that the remote reciever sun monitor have 12v on black and orange but no ground on green and brown.
