Hi bandit,

Hoping you can help... I am having the same issue with my SS (ex cop car) I am having a hell of of a time trying to remove the interior light/sunglasses thing.. Is there a certain way this can be removed without breaking this???

I'm Going to try and do the same thing you did with buying a replacement off eBay for the switch and solder it on.

My alternator was just replaced and since then the stupid thing won't come off police night mode, and my mechanic did not know what was going on (neither did I after reading this on google!!!)

I just also had speakers, sub and amp and I can't even fix the sound settings on the car because I can't see the menu!
So annoying they should just leave the switches in, just ####in stupid.

"go in to the service menu, not the customise options menu. you can de-activate the digi speedo there.
