If anything, the rear cylinders would run rich, they get the same amount of fuel but less air due to the nasty turn the air must make to get into those rear port runners.

It was the worry of the the rearmost cylinders leaning out that made me put it back in.
Whether it's just a fallacy or not I don't know.
