Yeah it was written off. They classed at as a repairable write off so I could have fixed it but wasn't worth it really. They gave me what I wanted for it though.
They let me keep it, so I spent a few weekends pulling stuff off it, namely the wheels, headlights, suspension, leather steering wheel and stereo. I didn't take off the extractors, exhaust and seats because I didn't have anything to replace them with. Ended up sending it to scrap.

I went out and bought a new car, perhaps somewhat too quickly. VT Calais L67. Unfortunately there were a number of issues with it that were hidden from the inspection (dodgy stuff) that I have been gradually resolving. I'll put up a new thread when I CBF :-D

Who where you insured with? if you dont mind me asking.

I wanted to keep my car and they wouldnt let me. That was a stat write off though.

It was the other driver's insurance company, and he was with APIA. Some insurers do, some don't.
