Hi mate did you ever get this issue sorted? My wife’s Cruze has just got jammed in reverse and won’t budge,can’t find any info anywhere on what’s the cause?

I assume you are getting water on your carpet in passenger side which previously happened to me and it was windscreen not sealed properly after panel shop refitted it, they checked it and didnt fix it properly i had to find it myself with torch, mirror on a stick and thin wire and i found gaps...

Yep it could be the regulator or even clogged filter although im sure i changed the filter sometime in recent year or so, might try the filter and reg together, its strange as i can start the car and drive it for a few km's on petrol then it dies and after about 2 days i can go thru the same...

HI guys i just started having this issue of the VT just dying while driving on petrol and then it wont start again after that, however i can switch to LPG and its fine so im thinking the issue is isolated to the fuel system somewhere, a few months ago i put a new repco fuel pump in cleaned out...

Im using PPG but i was very lucky to be able to get the hardener etc as they dont like selling it to public so im not sure if i can get any primer unless maybe some hichem from an auto store that sells some products from that brand, is there a big issue with the primer if its not 2k or the same...

check all your fuses as well, usually if its a vacuum leak your gauges and indicators should still work.

Theres a good chance you may still have a dodgy heater core, keep an eye on your coolant level also checked for any signs of coolant leaking under the transmission where the drain hole is in the floorpan for the airconditioner and also take note of any horrible smell that comes through the vents...

I had aftermarket monaro tailights put in my vt a few years ago, the panelbeaters had to run an extra wire from the loom on the right hand side over to the left to get them to work, i cant remember exactly where they joined the wire but it was put into the back of one of the wiring harness...

The o-rings the guy is probably talking about are in the flanges that are screwed to the heater core tank, if you get a new heater you will find they dont have a flange as the pipes are soldered to the tank which prevents future leakage issues, i bought a new core from radiators.com off ebay for...

one set could be hot burning for LPG conditions, one could be for supercharged, or V8 who knows? maybe best to take them to an autostore and identify them in a product manual

maybe if there is too much play in the wiper gearing inertia could help "throw" the wipers a bit further when on highspeed with a wet windscreen, just a guess really!

Hi anyone ever tried cleaning there own fuel injectors and if so did it improve performance, i believe there is a way to do it on the car or a better way to do it off the car where you can actually backflush them. Any ideas??

Hi, my VT is running like a dog on petrol, normally always runs on LPG, im figuring it might be something to do with the fuel supply system such as fuel pump, injectors maybe oxy sensors etc rather than electrical as the :idea3:car runs perfect on LPG but when on petrol it shakes like a train...

not sure about cost someone trashed it with paintstripper and insurance paid most of it, it cost me about $3000 for bonnet, monaro lights, boot garnish etc and excess and insurance paid for paintjob, im guessing about $6-$8000 overall

Your heater will still work ok even if its leaking, mines always leaked and still works it just stinks that bad that i hardly ever use it especially if i have passengers cos they hate the smell.it seems to be a common problem with heater cores leaking as the design of the original core is poor...

thanks thats a good idea about the citrus degreaser i was just gonna clean out the box and spray some deoderizer but id hate to put it all back in and it still smells so your idea is the go! cheers

mines the same, i reckon the orange seal is just a dust seal not the actual pressure seal, was gonna go to a bearing and seal specialist and see if u can get a kit for the rak and pinion, otherwise might have to remove the whole unit, strip the topseal out if possible and get it matched, rather...

Thanks mate i guess the worst thing havin to degas the aircon and pay to get that regassed again, did you give the hvac box a good cleanup before reassembly to get rid of any leftover coolant that leaves a horrible smell? did you do anything with your evaporator while you had it all apart? cheers

probably your heater core is leaking thats what causes the smell of coolant, it could be dripping under the car above the trans there's a drainhole on the passenger side,get a torch and see if you can see any sign of coolant, mines been leaking or 8yrs and im finally in the mood to buy a new...
