Hey all, was doing a transmission service on the vl, lost the bolt over the back of the valve body. I've looked over a few threads and its sugested to take it off and flip the bolt. Are there any technical drawings or is it much of a job to do? Thanks in advance.

I think it's a few torx bolts from memory, also there's the loom. If you have a the connectors it's not hard to make a custom one up but they are cheap from memory.

Yeah, I did swap the AFM with a known working one. Had the same issues. Swapped the trans computer and that fixed the issues I was having, noting at about the same time I lost the use of the power button. I'll invest in a new AFM I think, noting what I've read. $450 though for a new one.

Found the issue. It's the trans computer.

Swapped it with a known good AFM, still doing the same thing.

Seen this on a few Vl's and VN's I can't find anything on it. Mines disconnected so I'm wondering if it's for something. Cheers

Thanks, I will try get some video of it. Just havnt had the chance. Atleast then its doccumented somewhere with what the exact signs of a problem are. Most of the issues I have had with fault finding are chasing dead links to the old Calais turbo forums.

Did that today. I cleaned it with some of the cleaning spray from supercheap. Its still doing it but not as bad. The car still wont go into overdrive, but that may be something else causing that. I managed to get it up to 100 on the freeway so that's a vast improvement over the 80 I could get...

Have swapped out the high pressure pump, took it for a squirt. Still doing it. I still have 3/4 of a tank so I'm going to wait until it's a little lower first before I do the other one.

Yeah, I'll probably do that in version 2. It's a little tight towards the front, I have some aluminium fly screen that I'll add a grove for. Might chuck some completed ones up on ebay. Atleast then I can fit them first. It's about 12hours a print for all 4 parts
