I think the UK Monaros have the wrong plastics, I think I'll have to try and find a VY or VZ

I have a Monaro bonnet fitted to my ute and want to refit the original bonnet but don't have the plastics which are different at the bottom of the windscreen. I am not in Oz so I need to see hopefully if a UK spec Monaro one might be the same or possible a VU as there might be a dead one kicking...

I haven't noticed any auto type letters or numbers come up on my dash before. 2003 SS Ute.

I noticed the rattle at about 2000 rpm and I don't think it is lifters as it only seems to be at roughly 2k rpm.

The ute has 78,000 miles aprox 125,000 km, my speedo has been converted to miles. The noise isn't there all the time I would say when it's hot rather than a cold engine. I guess it would be better it being lifters than the bottom end as I don't mind doing the top of the motor. I presume that...

I have an LS1 engined VY SS ute and have noticed a little rattle from the engine and was thinking it might be worth changing the crank shells and was wondering how easy it is to do with the engine still in the ute. Can anyone please give some advise?

Nice Ute! I see by your pictures you are just a few suburbs up from where I used to live (Ocean reef). As Risky says there are aprox only 26 utes in the U.K . I'm not sure how accurate that is but the guy that told me has his ear firmly to the ground and he has a ute himself and breaks...

Thanks for your input guys it really helps me on my quest to up-grade my wheels as I don't have a spare, in the U.K Monaro 19"rims cost a small fortune hence me going for a full set of new rims.

I must proof read my post before posting. What I meant to say was, are wheels with an et35 going to fit under my arches? and not stick out too far. I'm not sure if you guys have 'et' as your measure of off set. I'm sure I'd seen you guys call it 'p' or something like that.

I am after a new set of rims for the ute and have been offered a set of rims from a alloy wheel supplier but the offset is et35 8.5x19" . I have AP 6 pots on the front with 362mm discs. Can anyone tell me it et35 is too much?

I didn't get any installation instructions with the new mounts, I've had a look on there website and it says to use new washer on the underside and reuse the old washer on top. Pedders aluminium washer must only suit their top mounts .

I have removed my old Pedders mounts and there is a aluminium spacer on the underside of the Pedders mount and I was wondering if it goes underneath the new Nolathane mount as it doesn't seam to sit nicely on the underside. Has anyone else had similar issue?

I only have a 2 button key and I'm about as far away from a Holden dealer as you can get so no programmed keys for me, I'd probably just use the button in the glove box. For give my ignorance but what is the BCM is it like an ecu but for other things?

I do like the sound of the remote release for the rear cover, do you have any pictures of what I may need to get a twin lock setup? I'm not on your side of the pond so not easy for me to see a set up in the flesh.

I have downloaded a Manual off the net for the VY and for the propshaft bolts it says 15nm then 50 to 60 degrees is that correct? I was thinking it is a little bit weird that it isn't more initially than 15nm which isn't very tight as a starting point.

I wish it was that easy! Fist off snapped the seized alen bolt then spent an hour on and off with some heat and WD40 then light tapping with screw drivers to spread between diff casing and ABS sensor, then snapped the ABS mount off the diff casing which only took a light tap. Then ended up...

Ute has a hard cover but no provision for locking setup in the lid/bed area. I think the clicking is under the dash but I'm putting the search on hold for now as I'm fitting new diff and some exhaust fabrication .

Changed the diff in my ute but can't get the ABS sensors out of the old diff cover, is there an easy way of doing it as they are stuck?

I like the sound of that, but I don't think there is anything in the tray area near the lid latches.
