Yeah thanks Yeah man still have the factory aircon/engine mount bracket, its a tight fit in there with either of the alternators but the ecotec one does looks to be alot easier to mount, think im going to drop the car off to the shop and get then to fabricate it for me.

Also forgot to mention I have a double row timing chain, & I milled down my oil pump cover about 2mm, could it possibly be the timing chain still rubbing?

UPDATE: Have sourced the problem, turns out my double row timing chain was rubbing/grinding/slapping on the crank shaft as seen in photos below, can anyone help me as to why this is happening? I'm lost! It seems the crank sprocket sits too far back! Thanks. ---------------------------...

Yeah it was, we tuned it and let it be at about 1100 i was fine with it, it's always did it, but its just starting to annoy me a little now lol. Think maybe it could be because im running a V8 Throttlebody? EDIT: I have changed the TPS and now i am able to turn the screw all the way down...

Thanks for the replys guys, all i know is they both came of vp engines (series 2 engines) and their both an interference fit, i looked at a series 1 sensor and it looks different to both of these, i think the balancer/cas on the left are just an aftermarket change

I have these 2 harmonic balancers, both of a VP engine, whats the differences between them? They have different crank angle sensors also, which one should i use? Or would they do the same thing.

yeah the RPM goes all funny at idle, doesnt sound healthy at all.. ill try a nice thick oil and see if it helps at all. thanks heaps for the replys guys, guess ill have to get this motor ready quicker lol!

Hey guys, recently installed a RPM , oil pressure & Volts guage in my v6 vp, & since then whenever i put my headlights on the reading on the oil pressure guages flutters and drops about 30 psi, sometimes even more and shows 0 psi, the volts guage drops to about 12.6 - 13.0 volts and flutters...
