WTF is going on 2009 SS Sportswagon

2009 SS S1 Sportswagon approx 2 months ago the rear window wiper/washer stopped working. Checked fuse OK. Plugged in scantool & I can connect & control front wiper/washer but it doesn't talk to the rear wiper at all. After giving up as I couldn't find anything the mongrel works. Yesterday I got...

    Wagon rear wiper/washer not working.

Rear washer & wiper not working in our SS wagon. Checked fuse is OK, there is power feed at motor, no power at plug at other wires when switch operated. Scantool I have activates front wiper/washer but not rear. Live data shows active/inactive when front operated but nothing for the rear. Cannot...

2010 Series 2 VE SS Ute

It's got IQ & dual zone aircon. I want to update it as the maps are out of date. Would like to use Carplay. What does everyone do? I can find Series 1 fascia for dual zone but not Series 2. There's a unit available but it seems to have lots of problems & bad back-up.

    L77 cam timing

So, I'm collecting bits to a cam swap on my S2 VE ute & deciding if I run a standard 3 bolt type cam sprocket or an adjustable timing set. I'm primarily after power/torque low to mid-range as the car is an auto daily driver that occasionally will tow a race trailer. I've decided on the VCM532...

    VE Park brake not catching.

Anyone had their VE park brake lever not catch on the ratchet? It will go up 3-4 clicks then just moves up & down not catching. Is it an easy fix?

    No more silver!

Painted the drink holder top & T-bar surround in satin black & carbon fibre vinyl wrapped the dash trims, console top & steering wheel trims today. Quite pleased with the result. I couldn't stand the silver trims any more.

    Off to the panel shop!

The Mrs went to Eastland shopping centre yesterday & when she got to the car, there was a note under the wiper. Damage to front bumper & bonnet. Rang the number & spoke to the woman who said she was reversing & forgot to put her foot on the brake! FFS! At least she left her details. Next...

    Aircon bracket replaced

Just replace the aircon bracket with the updated unit with idler wheel. The belt has come off a few times over a couple of weeks. Bit of a fiddly job, but it's done now. Turned off traction control, gave it a boot full, & the belt was still on.:yahoo:

    Looks like some work soon!

Got all my bits, picked the wrong time of the year to have to ride the bike to work! Full AFM delete kit, Comp Cams 212/218 114 LSA, springs, retainers & pushrods, Summit Racing timing set, & bits. Deep trans pan & filter will go on tomorrow & will do the engine work in a few weeks.

    VE SV6 Engine light

Customer brings car in for service, the engine light & dash warning are on. Scan finds 'Improbable cam position' fault that usually is stretched timing chain. Checked service book, serviced 2 times in 70,000 km, wonder why it's not happy.:nopity:

    L76 afm

The wagon is getting a few noises on start-up so I'm getting organised to do the job. Going to run mild cam as I tow a bit & the Mrs drives it mostly, so something torquey is required. Currently has VCM OTR CAI, HM 2.5 S/S system with Clubby headers & EFI Live tune. I'll get a parts kit &...

    VE SS Sportswagon tuned

Just had the wagon tuned with EFI live. Seems good so far, got rid of the AFM, tweaked the auto shifts & runs smoother. Will see how it goes over the next few days.:driving:

    Drivers headlight blows 2-3 months

My VZ ute blows the drivers headlight globe 2-3 months. Tried buying expensive 'good' globes, turning of lights & only switching on once running to avoid altenator surge, cheap globes & checked all connetions. Still does it. Spoke with auto-elec & had no joy. Any ideas?

    New tyres

Just fitted a set of Goodyear Assymetric 2 245/45-18 to the SS. Seem good so far, quieter than the Falken 912's that were on it, smoother ride & not as reactive to the road surface. Next is the dyno tune & get rid of the annoying AFM.

    Towbar?

Where's the best place to get a towbar for a VE wagon in Melbourne? I just need the bar supplied, I've got the Holden Wiring kit & I'll fit it myself.
