Sounds like the "rope" inside that antenna spinning on the motor, it may be worn out. You can buy new ones from Repco or similar for about $40 approx. Can be an annoying job to replace. I got mine replaced for $45 by a stereo guy. Cheers. Edit - Look here...

I've got a broken plastic corner on the front ashtray, and also the rear door on the back of the console (bloody kids) in a VT2 Berlina. I cannot see a way of repairing these, as the catches are moulded. Do GMH have new mouldings, or can they be moulded or repaired. Cheers.

Hi, Ive just bought a EH Holden with a Commodore engine, The engine number is "L357XX8 (where it is stamped on the block next to the engine mount, and is a blue 3.3 (202). I am pretty sure the engine is from an early Commodore, but not sure which one, can anyone help. Cheers.

I have indicator & hazard light troubles (VT2 Berlina), that can apparently be a problem in the VT's. The sometimes stay on, blink irreguarly and so on. Does anyone know how to remove the plasic surround on the top of the guard where the antenna comes out. Preferably by not working under the guard. I'm hoping it just clips out with a little pressure. I have to change the antenna mast. (VT 2 Berlina) Cheers.
