Variations within the ly7 v6 motor

I found out that the broadcast codes are what you might call the fitted options of that years ly7, Example the engine for my ute had a broadcast code of AC1, I fitted an engine that had a H7W broadcast code, that meant these followinh items were different between the two models Intake...

    After market seats

Thats good info if the base of the seat can be swapped with a standard car or wagon version, thats pretty much what i need, i can live with crappy springs in the seat upright by just getting a good car seat cover

Diagnosing Slipped Cam Chain VE LEO 2006

Here was mine https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/1st-day-owning-ve-and-towtrucked-home.300051/ I would stringly advise against starting it until you get it cleaned as good as you can first with fresh oil etc

Diagnosing Slipped Cam Chain VE LEO 2006

Yeh, I bought a ute that had less than regular servicings, looked similiar internally to yours, it lost oil pressure, cam chains came loose, cams skipped a tooth and then pushed the valves into the pistons all in the matter kf 30 seconds of no issues todead engine

Coolant leak - Head Gaskets or Overflow leak?

2 options, Diy or give it to a mechanic If Diy, then, It will cost you less than a $100 to own a simple coolant pressure testing unit. Any known issues, fix them now eg your coolant overflow being temp fixed I would eliminate any leaks first in the system, if the system is good then look at...
