Sounds identical to my LS1 which needed lifters. Rattle on start up, same tick that went away after a few mins. The tick used to come back when I was on the free way at a constant speed/revs for an extended time. Piston slap is a very different sound in my experience.

Isn't there a user on here taking Holden or a dealer to court over this at the moment? In my experience (own an L98, L77, LS3) piston slap is a normal sound as all 3 of mine make an identical sound for the first 5 mins or so after a cold start. BUT, and it's a big but.... none of them are...
