you dont need a internal gate u can use a external. i got a progate on mine and it works fine. turn a stock manifold over and make ur own. stuff payin a fortune for them to make you one.
i been there i turbo'd my 5L. standard internals it made 357kw. its harder than u think to do, ther is fark all space under the bonnet to put a decent size turbo on them. i had a T04Z on ther to start off but it was about 5" outta the bonnet. so i'd say gt35/40 cums on boost hard on mine at bout...
mig weld it its a piece of piss i done it myself. and dont put it in the filler cap thats dam stupid.... make sure u us a oil catch can too.. cause bad stuff will happen.
ur welder man must be **** then. cause i weld tilt trains for a living and i weled the oil return to my sump on my 5L and it didnt burn threw at all. just make sure u weld it with as little heat as possible
yer soz bro.. umm i got a gt 35/40 on me vn 5L. its got 40 pound injectors and microtec LT8 computer. bosch 044 pump 1.5L surge tank and oil catch can. stock manafold turned upside down and welded flange for turbo. 3inch exhaust. its wicked
I've got a turbo charged vn 5L. it does hang out the bonnet a little but there is nothing u can do about it cause the custom manifold it too high... and as for lag.. pigs arse there is no lag on mine. i got a GT35/40 on it and its in full boost which is bout 11psi at 2500rpm easy. it makes boost...
all u need is a blue plate. u can use all the same fuel lines and **** but a bigger fuel pump. i got a vk with a vp 3.8 and its wicked. make sure u have the dash or the gauges out the old car to put in and u have to have a disc back end.
