    Upgraded control arms...suggestions?

I'm looking into upgrading my suspension on my SSV which will most likely include adjustable coilovers but in the meantime, I want to replace the factory control arms and bushes. Just wondering what people have used and what you'd recommend.

Mr Bodykit front lip FYI - fitment issues VF

$150 for painting is really good. I paid $300 to gave my front lip painted but at least you got a refund, so that's not too bad. Still, buying something that doesn't fit right is pet madenning

    Huge insurance cost rise?

Well, when I said I didn't know I was being a bit facetious. The obvious answer is... ...they're greedy kunce!

    Huge insurance cost rise?

I was with QBE until my renewal notice arrived and my premium went from $1600 (comprehensive, rating 1, daily use, 1 driver over 50, $2500 excess, agreed value $38k, 10,000 - 20,000km per year, no claims ETC) to $2200. Needless to say I shopped around and went with Shannon's for $1950 a year...

Mr Bodykit front lip FYI - fitment issues VF

Sorry to hear your Mr Bodykits spoiler was a rubbish fit. That sucks. I slapped on my painted Mr Bodykits lip spoiler the other day and the fit was perfect. I wanted some side skirts but I'm in Melbourne and postage would have been about $210 with the skirts themselves around $495 from memory...

Snail horn wiring question for VF S1

Quick question: Is wiring up two aftermarket snail horns as easy as cutting off the existing plug that goes into the factory horn and connecting those wires to a new 12v horn? And if I wanted to connect a second horn to the left side, does that just involve tapping two wires (18 gauge?) into...

Recommendations on GOOD auto electrician in Melbourne's eastern suburbs

I'm getting some gauges put into my VF and am after any recommendations on the best auto electrical place in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs (Narre Warren, Hampton Park area...but happy to travel). I've had mixed experiences over the years with auto electricians, who on the whole seem to be a pretty...

Do 65mm electrical wide sweep gauges even exist or am I losing my mind?

Went with these because the chrome bezel matches the trim and the dial is black with a red needle...identical to the HSV cluster so it'll look as factory as possible.

I like the way you think, Dylankingswood

Do 65mm electrical wide sweep gauges even exist or am I losing my mind?

Will do. 52mm is by far the most common size and I found plenty that would suit the look I'm after, but 65mm were proving hard to locate. The only problem with those Glow Shift gauges is the water temp is in Fahrenheit. I could get a fuel pressure gauge I guess...

Do 65mm electrical wide sweep gauges even exist or am I losing my mind?

Cheers Ephect, those Glow Shift ones are exactly what I'm looking for. I want gauges that are as close in appearance to my HSV cluster and those are spot on. You sir, are a legend!

Do 65mm electrical wide sweep gauges even exist or am I losing my mind?

I've been scouring the internet for hours trying to find full sweep 65mm electical gauges (oil pressure, oil temp and AFR) and can't find a single one. Am I losing my mind or does this combo of gauges not even exist? If they do, I can't find any. Are they rarer than Unicorn balls or something...

    The ultimate bulb replacement guide

These don't fade in as far as I recall (maybe they do but I havent noticed), but these don't flicker. LEDs in VFs tend to behave differently from car to car but these work well in mine. Different colours and white are available too, but I got blue to match the exterior. Might be worth a look...

    Do they though?

    1600 or 2200 RPM cam?

Gonna go with the 871286 Crow Cam I reckon. Thanks to everyone who contributed with a relevant response though ;)
